IT was a torrid day for our Weston and District League sides this week with Berrow Reserves, Burnham United ‘A’ and Wedmore all tasting defeat.
Berrow Reserves were in Knock Out Cup second round action against Division Two side Tickenham United but fell to a narrow 3-2 loss.
They will hope to bounce back against Draycott in the league this Saturday.
Back to league action and Burnham United ‘A’ were knocked for six in their 6-2 defeat at Locking Park. The result leaves the team fourth from bottom ahead of a home clash with Nailsea United ‘B’.
Division Three side Wedmore were also in action but fell to a 4-0 loss at home to Winscombe ‘A’ and will take on Shipham at home this weekend.
Other matches this weekend see King Alfred Sports Centre travel to Nailsea United Colts, Burnham United ‘B’ make the trip to Clevedon United ‘B’ and Wedmore Reserves visit Clapton in Gordano.
