Ellie May Vohra wins Avenue Tennis Club tournament
ELLIE May Vohra won her second Avenue Tennis Club adult tournament on Boxing Day, winning all four of her doubles matches with partner Tom Holder.
Although only 12, Ellie May, a member of the Avenue’s Junior Academy Squad, now holds the Jan Mackay and Ron Hines Memorial Trophies for 2012/13.
Head coach Vinny Duddy said he was really pleased with Ellie May’s achievements so far and said he expected more of the same in the future.
Saturday Pay and Play Tennis starts on January 5 from 9am; Tennis Tots at 10am along with adult coaching in the afternoon from 2pm until 3.30pm; evening tennis squad coaching starts on Monday, January 7.
