BRIDGWATER Town joint boss Kevin Milsom is calling on his team to bounce back against rivals Taunton Town after they lost 2-0 to league leaders Hungerford Town on Saturday.
The Robins went into the game on the back of seven straight league wins, and having conceded only once during that run of form.
But two first-half strikes from Hungerford ended that impressive run to leave Bridgwater in sixth place ahead of a Boxing Day clash with Taunton Town.
Milsom said: “The run is over but I hope all the fans have enjoyed it as much as we have.
“All good things come to an end at some point but to go seven games unbeaten and only concede one goal speaks volumes for the squad and what we are trying to put together.
“The one thing we said to the lads after the game was don't be too hard on yourselves. We conceded two sloppy goals on a very wet afternoon and on another day, and with a bit more luck, we could have got something out of the game.
“Now it is all about character and I'm more than sure we have enough of that to bounce back on Boxing Day against Taunton.
“So hopefully we will see lots of you at the match with lots of Christmas cheer and a good result to go with it.”
The management, players and staff at the club wanted to wish fans and supporters a very merry Christmas.
