Outsiders are soccer favourites

WITH only three games to go, the Tiverton Soccer Sixes is heating up at the top.

Leaders The Outsiders are ahead of Wilcombe Allstars by five points and a few sides will have a say in where they finish.

The latest round of matches was played in pouring rain on the artificial pitch in Tiverton on Sunday.

At the bottom Willand Massive are alongside Bitty Babes and they must pick up points to avoid finishing in the bottom two because the team above them, The Onetouchables, are in form.

They have had two fine wins in two weeks, including a 6-0 thrashing of CMP Allstars.

Another team in form is FC Phantoms, who beat Devon Cider Tigers 4-1.

Tom Williams netted his 14th of the season for the Tigers after Kieran Salter had given Phantoms the lead.

Back came the Phantoms through a brace by Anthony Orgee, who will have a say in the top scorers’ chart as he is now on 11. Also on target was Ben Daniels.
