PADBROOK Park cruised into the second round of the Mail on Sunday Club Classic. They used home advantage to beat Lyme Regis 4-1.

Curtis Edwards recorded the biggest victory of the day as he raced to a 7&6 win. Tom Evans won his match 2&1 while John Locke finished one up in his match.

Richard Asson secured the match victory with a 5&4 win. Hong Chau was the only Padbrook players to lose. He went down 2&1.

John Locke won the pro shop stableford with an excellent score of 43 points. The 13 handicapper’s score was helped by three birdies.

They came at the 2nd, 6th and 12th holes. He finished three points Ahead of Richard Asson who scored 40 points. Sam Palmer was the only other player to better par. He took third place with a score of 37 points.
