FENCING: Tiverton fencer wins silver medal
ALEXANDER Scott won a silver medal for Tiverton Swords after an excellent day’s fencing at the Devon Épée Championships.
Assistant coach Jason Ball said: “We’re proud of Alex. The final was a closely-fought spectacle, partly from Alex’s fencing style and also because the whole body from head to toe is valid target when you fence Épée, so there is very little room for error.”
