PADBROOK Park’s new captain, Barry Colbourne, took office at the traditional drive in as he played his first tee shot in front of around 50 members.
Colbourne is no stranger to the role as he was previously club captain in 2007 and 2008.
Before the drive-in, 2014 captain Rod Hutchings ‘holed out’ to end his successful term in office. Sam Palmer and Jim Ken-nard, the respective junior and seniors captains also drove in.
The drive-in was followed by a Texas Scramble won by Duncan Hepburn, Alex Held and Richard Price who scored 63.9.
