TOM Evans returned to form as he won the October Stableford at Padbrook Park.

Evans returned a score of 36 points which is equivalent to level par to win what is the first event of the 2014-15 season. He finished one point ahead of Jim Foat and Steve Held.

Foat took second place on countback while Held’s chance of victory ended when he failed to score any points on the 13th and 14th holes.

Defending champions John Palmer and Mark Perrott have been handed a bye in round one of this year’s Winter Foursomes.

His nett score of 74 saw him finish clear of John Locke who was left to regret a quadruple bogey on the par three fifth hole.
