TIVERTON Town will approach their FA Trophy tie at Sholing today with renewed confidence following a comprehensive midweek league success.
Bottom club Bishops Cleeve, who the Yellows swept aside 4-0 at Ladysmead on Tuesday, are not the best yardstick of a side’s form.
But manager Martyn Rogers is hoping that victory will help to erase any negative thoughts following last Saturday’s 4-1 home defeat by North Leigh.
Bishops Cleeve may not have won a match in 15 attempts this season, Owen Howe, Jamie Mudge, James Richards and Ethan Phillips all scored in an emphatic display.
Howe opened the scoring after seven minutes, nodding home Mudge’s excellent cross. Tivvy doubled the advantage as Mudge powered home just before the break.
Richards then fired home a powerful free-kick before Phillips made it 4-0.
