MARTIN Selby fired a one-under gross 70 and 43 points to win the men's October Stableford at Tiverton.

Last year’s club captain had his handicap cut from six to five after finishing four clear of Andy Ogden and Steve Carey in Division One. Selby had twos on the 4th and 9th and another birdie on the 12th, before bogeys on the 13th and 15th.

Mark Randell posted 40 to top Division Two by one from James Margesson.

Tony Allsopp carded a one-under nett 70 to claim the Old Tiverton Cup, for men who have won trophies throughout the season. The three-handicapper had birdies on the 8th and 15th on his way to a one-shot success over Phil Moulding.

Harry Konig won the Amory Putter after beating Tom Hanson 2 and 1 in the final.

Having won the men's knock-out tournament, Konig defeated Rachel Bray 1 up in the semi-finals and then Hanson on Saturday.

Hanson, the junior winner, overcame David Green 2 and 1 in the other semi-final.

Jan Carroll picked up her second cup in successive weekends after winning the Goodwin Trophy, for qualifiers from stableford competitions throughout the season.

The 18-handicapper posted 32 points on Sunday to edge out Sarah Lockwood on a countback, with Kay Beaumont third on 31.

Carroll clinched the Hamilton Cup seven days earlier.

Bridget Holland and Chris Williams won the ladies' better-ball competition on Wednesday after a four-way tie at the top.

Holland and Williams posted 38 stableford points to win on a countback from Marjorie Hallam and Alison Hilton, Marg Sampson and Oki Northwood plus Margot Seamer and Shirley Ward.
