UFFCULME Bellies, who play out of the village Men’s Club, have progressed from the group stages of the 2014 Butcombe British Skittles Championships to the knock-out stage.
The Bellies, who play play in Division A of the Sampford Peverell & District Skittles League, are just a few games away from qualifying for the grand finals, which will be held on Saturday, September 13, in Torquay.
The Bellies travelled to Exeter and Chard in the group stages, and qualified as group runner-ups.
In the knock-out stage they have been drawn against St John’s Rent Boys, of Weston-super-Mare.
The Bellies played their knock-out stage home leg on Saturday, August 23, when they lost by 15 pins.
They now need to travel to Weston and recover the 15-pin deficit.
