Two years ago Stithians had just beaten Mullion seconds to win Division Four convincingly having only lost one game.
On Saturday they clinched the division two title to gain a third successive title and, in a remarkable rise, they have the prospect of County Division One cricket to look forward to next year.
Mullion, who were already relegated were bowled out for 75 by Jack MacFaull and Glyn Furnival. Chris Instance made 43 to set the celebrations off. Stithians complete life in the Western Section at Leedstown on Saturday.
Mullion 75 (M Grose 20; J MacFaull 3-10, G Furnival 3-28, B Tann 1-18, H Williams 2-9), Stithians 79-3 (C Instance 43, G Furnival 17no; B Tann 3-41). Stithians (19 points) beat Mullion (two) by seven wickets.
