Soccersixes, a company specialising in the organisation of small-sided football, will be bringing a new six-a-side league to Falmouth and the surrounding community in September. The league will make its debut at Falmouth School on a Monday evening.
It is scheduled to kick off in September and will run every Monday from 7-9 pm in the sports hall. There will be 16 teams, eight teams in each division with a promotion and relegation system.
Teams will play a 30 minute match each week with a qualified referee. All teams entering will have the chance to win a huge array of awards including; trophies or cash for winners and runners-up, player of the season, and a fair play award. Teams will also have the opportunity of playing against other teams from leagues across England in Soccersixes' national cup.
All matches are officiated by local qualified referees while sixes staff will attend the league each week to ensure the smooth running of fixtures and to deal with any queries or problems. All equipment will be provided. Anyone over the age of 15 can enter and you do not need to be an organised or established team, you may simply be a group of friends, work colleagues or mates from the pub. The league will be affiliated to the FA.
Soccersixes' Ross Spacey said: This league has been organised for the benefit of the local community and the vast array of awards is sure to prove popular with teams.
Teams are advised to contact Soccersixes as soon as possible to register in advance and avoid disappointment as places are limited. Soccersixes can be contacted by phone on 07896 568501 or 0870 330 0888 and teams can also register online at www.soccersixes.net.
