National League South: Truro City A-A Concord Rangers

Truro midfielder Michael Herve went down after a nasty fall and was in some serious pain as the game was stopped and an ambulance was called.

With just under an hour of play being stopped the game was subsequently called off by match referee Steven Hughes with the score 0-1 to the visitors.

In a rather dull opening period, it was Concord who struck first with 26 minutes on the clock. Sam Ashford finished well past Alexis Junior to give the visitors the lead despite strong appeals from both the Truro players and supporters, claiming that the striker was offside.

Junior then made two superb stops to keep the Beach Boys at bay before Truro had their first meaning full chance of the match. Connor Riley-Lowe saw his free kick pushed away by Concord keeper Sam Beasant, ending a rather uneventful first half.

The same definitely couldn’t be said for the second, as Truro pushed for an equaliser, gaps were left at the back and Concord caused problems on the counter attack, resulting in an end to end game.

Then came the injury to Herve, who landed awkwardly and was holding his shoulder in some serious pain.

The game was stopped while treatment was given to the Frenchmen and after an hour of waiting the decision was made to abandon the fixture.

The fixture will be rearranged in time but for Truro they now turn their attentions to next Saturday as they travel to Hemel Hempstead Town.
