THE stand-out team in this season’s Bond Timber Cornwall Junior Cup is unquestionably Trelawny League division two giantkillers Frogpool/Cusgarne who swept into the semi-finals of the Bond Timber Cornwall Junior Cup with a 3-0 win over Duchy League side Polperro Reserves.

Will Harding and Jack Froud scored first-half goals before Harding put the issue beyond doubt with a stunning 25-yard free kick.

Joining them in the last four from the Trelawny League are Illogan RBL Reserves who beat Gwinear Churchtown 3-0 and Mousehole Reserves who won 4-1 away at Lostwithiel.

In the Trelawny League Mawnan closed the gap on leaders Penwith Exiles following their 3-1 win away to St Agnes Reserves. Dominic Pullen (2) and Adam Keenan scored the goals.

Helston Athletic III won by the same scoreline at Stithians as did Penryn Athletic Reserves who scored through Glen Jeffery (2) and Keir Dent.

Wendron United III maintained their promotion push in division one with a comprehensive 4-0 win at Newlyn Non-Athletico. Harrison Badcock and Craig Owens notched the goals.

Mawnan Reserves dented Probus’ promotion hopes with a 3-0 away win after scoring through Oliver Growcott-Smith (2) and Peter Maclean.

Toby Webb scored for Constantine in their 1-1 draw with Newlyn Lions, St Keverne went down 3-0 at Perranporth Reserves and Rosudgeon were 1-0 winners at Goonhavern Athletic.

In division two Ruan Minor are looking ominous promotion contenders after defeating New Inn Titans Reserves 5-3.

Falmouth DC, who scored through Nathan Angove and Alex Kemp, lost 3-2 to West Cornwall.

Dominic Hannaford (2), Jordan Hoskin and Joshua Padgeth scored the goals in Mullion Reserves 4-1 win over Falmouth Town III who scored through Ben Kellow.

Perranwell Reserves won an important division three game against Frogpool/Cusgarne Reserves 3-2 after netting through Kian Rowland, James Wilsher and Darren Hudson. Dan Higgins and Ashley Lawrence scored for ’Pool.

Rosudgeon Reserves defeated St Just Reserves 4-2 but after scoring through Mark Fuller and Luke Rawley Wendron United IV were beaten 3-2 at Holmans Reserves.

Lizard Argyle were beaten 2-0 by Marazion in division four, but Constantine Reserves had a fine 4-1 win away to Madron. Simon Dixon (2), Charles Hill and Will Hing scored their goals.

In the Dunn Cup Camborne SoM had an excellent 3-2 win over league leaders Penwith Exiles.
