Falmouth Town and St Austell will renew acquaintances once again after they were drawn together in the semi-finals of the Cornwall Senior Cup.

The tie will be played on either Tuesday, March 5 or Wednesday, March 6, at a neutral venue which is yet to be confirmed.

The two teams have played each other seven times since the start of the 2017/18 season, with Falmouth winning four and St Austell winning two, while the pair shared ten goals in an incredible 5-5 draw at Poltair Park in October 2017.

Their most recent meeting came at the same ground just two weeks ago, when Jordan Annear scored the only goal as Falmouth won 1-0 to reach the semi-finals of the Walter C Parson League Cup.

Town beat South West Peninsula League Premier strugglers Launceston 4-0 in Saturday’s quarter-final, while St Austell won 5-0 at Division 1 West club Wadebridge Town.

Wendron United will face either Bodmin Town or Saltash United in their first-ever Senior Cup semi-final next month.

The tie will be played on whichever of the above dates is not used for the other semi-final.

Bodmin and Saltash are due to play their rearranged quarter-final tie at Saltash’s Kimberley Stadium on Saturday, with the winner taking on the Dron in next month’s semi.

Wendron booked their place in the final four of the Senior Cup for the first time in the club’s history on Saturday when they won 3-1 at home to SWPL Division 1 West leaders and local rivals Porthleven.

  • Wendron United Reserves will play either Perranporth or St Day in the Combination League Cup semi-finals.

The tie will also be played at a neutral venue with the ground and date to be confirmed.

St Day visit Perranporth in the only remaining quarter-final tie on Saturday. The match is a repeat of last season’s final, which the Saints won 4-2.

Wendron won 4-2 at Penryn Athletic in their quarter-final on Saturday and are the lowest ranked side left in the competition.

St Ives Town will face Illogan RBL in the other semi-final at Hayle’s Trevassack Park on Sunday, March 3.

St Ives beat Pendeen Rovers 1-0 in their quarter-final on Saturday, with Illogan RBL winning 2-1 at home to St Just the week before.
