THE first weekend of the new football season is over, with plenty of big scores and big results across the SWPL Premier and Combination League.
But which result was the best of the weekend? We have narrowed it down to four and you can vote for your choice in our poll below.
Option 1: West Cornwall 1-5 Lizard Argyle
Lizard Argyle made their Combination League bow in style on Saturday with a thumping 5-1 win at West Cornwall.
Dagan Vaughan-Spruce (2), Ben Casley, Tristan Hawkins and Jared Lawrence scored for Argyle, with Chris Prout replying for the home side.
I know everyone is waiting in anticipation for our first ever Combo result, I can confirm....@WestCornwall 1 v 5 @lizardargyle

Option 2: Porthleven Reserves 10-1 Carharrack
It was a game to forget for poor Carharrack, as last season's third-placed Combination League side and Supplementary Cup winners were thrashed at Gala Parc.
Carharrack lost manager Harry Pope to Penryn Athletic in the off-season with a number of players also heading for the exit door, and on this evidence it looks like it could be a long season.

Option 3: Millbrook 3-1 Callington Town
This one may not have had the goals of the other two games but it was a welcome first SWPL Premier win for Millbrook.
The club nearly went out of business a year or so ago but won promotion from SWPL Division 1 West in May, and Saturday's win is another milestone in their turnaround in fortunes.

Option 4: St Austell 4-1 Falmouth Town
What was billed as a closely-fought encounter ended up with a one-sided result as St Austell put in a superb performance to defeat last season's third-placed SWPL Premier side.
Liam Eddy scored twice, with Neil Slateford and Chris Reski also scoring to put the Lillywhites top of the early league table.

Well deserved win for St Austell.
I suppose for Falmouth at least it wasn’t a 7-0 opening reverse like last season!@swpl#cornishfootball
