Cornish Pirates welcome London Scottish to the Mennaye Field on Sunday for a Round 19 fixture in the Greene King IPA Championship.

The Pirates will be naturally keen to avenge a 32-26 defeat suffered at the Richmond Athletic Ground last November.

Coach Gavin Cattle said: “London Scottish always pose a threat. They have capability in the backline and are very creative, and happy to play a running game from their own third. We have to be prepared.

“However, on the back of recent performances we will go into the game with a lot of confidence, and with an aim to push on and finish this season strongly.”

The Cornish Pirates backline is the same as started at Hartpury last week, however there are two changes in the pack.

Dual-registered players Josh Caulfield and Tom Lawday are both unavailable this week, so Toby Freeman and Dan Lee are named at lock and blind-side flanker respectively.

On the bench there are returns for Dan Frost, Rupert Cooper and Will Cargill.

Cornish Pirates: 15 Kyle Moyle, 14 Alex O’Meara, 13 Dan Koster, 12 Nicolas De Battista (capt), 11 Matt Evans, 10 Laurence May, 9 Alex Day; 1 Marlen Walker, 2 Sam Matavesi, 3 Christian Judge, 4 Toby Freeman, 5 Brett Beukeboom, 6 Dan Lee, 7 John Stevens, 8 Tom Duncan. Replacements: 16 Dan Frost, 17 Jack Andrew, 18 Alan Paver, 19 Chris Morgan, 20 Rupert Cooper, 21 Will Cargill, 22 Toby May.

Tickets will be available at the gates on the day (open 12.30pm ahead of the 2.30pm kick-off), whilst in the meantime they can also be purchased online.
