Two Penryn players are in the starting line-up for a Cornwall Development XV that will take on Launceston at Polson Bridge on Saturday (1pm).

Centre Andrew Seviour and Mitchell Vague are in the side, while Falmouth No 8 Tom Simmons is on the bench.

Cornwall’s rugby selectors have been busy travelling around Cornwall to assemble a group of aspiring county players to start the build-up to the 2018 County Championship campaign.

Many past Cornish stars have started their county careers at Development XV level.

The Camborne club is well represented, providing five of the 25-strong squad but players also come from the far south-west (Pirates Amateurs and St Ives) and north-east (Saltash and Bude).

Bude’s Joe Wilson will skipper the side.

The game will also mark the launch of the new partnership between the CRFU and O’Neills, who will be supplying all the kit for the senior sides for the next three years. Supporters will be able to buy a wide range of Cornwall replica goods from the O’Neill’s on-line shop.
