JUNE is traditionally a quiet month for football, but it's been an extremely busy week for Falmouth Town boss Andrew Westgarth.

News that centre half Tom Whipp was moving to Helston Athletic last week has now been followed with Ed Timmons and Town's top goalscorer last season Rob Wearne also making the move to Kellaway Park.

Westgarth has been busy recruiting though and has landed the signatures of Penryn quartet David Broglino, David Blizzard, Ryan Martt and Ollie Moody.

"I'm delighted with the new signings. As one door shuts, another one opens and the new lads are stepping up for the right reasons," said Westgarth.

Following the loss of 34-goal Wearne, Town's boss is also on the look-out for another striker, who he will hope to bring in before pre-season training begins in two weeks' time.

Falmouth have a daunting start to their SWPL Premier season when they entertain champions Tavistock on Saturday, August 12.

Four days later they travel to Godolphin, before home matches against Ivybridge (August 19) and Bodmin Town (August 23).

Their August programme is completed on the 26th, at Torpoint.
