Penryn Rugby Club has announced two further new signings in addition to the arrival of Josh Tora last week.

The first of the new arrivals is Aaron Simmonds, who can play either at fly-half or full-back.

He has played junior rugby at Newquay Hornets and has represented Cornwall at U15/16/17&18's and had also played for the Exeter Chiefs Academy at U15's.

Aaron was clear that the appointment of new coaches Toby Freeman and Ian Morgan was a key part of his choosing to come to The Memorial Ground.

He said: "I've joined Penryn because they are club with a lot of history and I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can from the new coaches at the club."

The other new signing, taking Penryn's tally up to three during the first month of the close season, is Kyle Gratrix, who can play any position in the front row.

Kyle came to rugby at a late age, but has taken to the game with flying colours, having learnt his trade at St Austell playing for their U16's before moving on to their exceptionally strong Colts side. He has represented Cornwall at U18s for the last two years.

Kyle said “I am looking forward to stepping up to senior rugby at Penryn and being part of a club with real ambition.”

Speaking of the new signings, Penryn RFC Head of Rugby Dave Levick said: "I think that these two lads can play a big part of our future. They will help our squad towards our aim of achieving promotion to Western Counties West next April".
