JUST six months into his role as manager of Penryn Athletic, Paul Murray has a chance to win some silverware in the final of the Charity Cup tonight.

Standing in his way though are Sticker, who have been the outstanding team in SWPL Division 1 West this season.

"We'll have to be at our best and hopefully they'll have a bit of an off-day, but it's going to be very difficult," said Paul.

Murray's men have been in good form, finishing off their league season with a fine win at Millbrook and a home victory over Dobwalls.

Key players David Broglino, David Blizzard and Ben Oliver have all recovered from lengthy injuries, but defender Russell May will miss out with a knock.

Murray added: "It is our only chance of winning something this year and we want to stop them winning the double. I think we've become mentally stronger in recent months and we now have a plan B if plan A isn't working.

"We let slip a 3-0 lead against them earlier in the season but I think we've learned lessons from that and have adapted to playing more than one way. We're looking forward to the challenge immensely."

The match at Godolphin Atlantic, in Newquay, kicks off at 7.30pm tonight.
