Callington u16s 1, Wendron Utd 1 (aet, Wendron win 4-3 on pens)
Wendron's young guns held their nerve in a thrilling penalty shoot-out to win the under-16s' Luke Cup final at Wadebridge on Sunday.
Tom Jose gave Wendron the lead after only ten minutes and despite having the better of the first half, they had to be content with a slender lead at the break.
With virtually the last kick of normal time, Callington broke from a Wendron free kick and equalised to send the game into extra time.
Both sides had chances but could not be separated. Successful penalties from Andreas Callenja-Stayne, Dale Bowden, Lennon Watts and Lucas Potts sealed the win.
Wendron: Danny Stedman (gk), Dale Bowden, Lennon Watts, Liam Chambers, Aaron Wright, Cameron Wheat, Lucas Potts (capt), Andreas Callenja-Stayne, Toby Neal, Yeshe Briar, Scott McElwee, Tom Jose, Darren Davey and Floyd Radcliffe (unavailable).
