TIVERTON Town Reserves have given notice to the South West Peninsula League that they are withdrawing next season.

The mid-Devon club plans to run only one senior side next year.

That could mean a stay of execution for Newquay or Witheridge, who looked most likely to be relegated from SWPL Premier with St Blazey.

Only one team will go down, while Division 1 West champions Sticker and a team from Division 1 East will be promoted.

That will therefore mean that one team from the Combination League will be accepted into Division 1 West and the bottom team in Division 1 West will be relegated.

Regarding ground gradings, Porthleven's application failed from Division 1 West to Premier, while Sticker and St Dennis passed with dispensation.

The two mid-Cornwall teams do not have floodlights installed, but they have provided documentation to confirm they have valid planning permission and supporting plans to provide sufficient funding.

Ludgvan's ground was also passed, meaning that they could be promoted from the Combination League into Division 1 West.
