FALMOUTH School, Falmouth Rugby Club and the RFU have combined forces to raise participation of junior rugby by inspiring students to take up and develop the sport.
Falmouth School have made a pledge to the RFU to deliver ‘Kids First Rugby’ which provides the opportunity for children to prosper by providing an environment for fun, learning and building confidence of the game.
Following their most successful and competitive season of school fixtures in many years, Falmouth School are hoping the partnership with Falmouth Rugby Club, who are also performing extremely well, will prove successful.
The new partnership also aims to develop the next generation of rugby players in the area, with a series of primary school-based events planned in the next calendar year.
Christy Benney, Head of PE at Falmouth School, said: “We are thrilled to have collaborated with the RFU and Falmouth Rugby Club to provide as many rugby opportunities for the children of Falmouth as possible.
"We’re all very excited about the partnership and the effect it will have on the current and the next generation of students and young people in Falmouth.”
