Constantine Veterans FC unveiled their brand new claret and blue strip prior to their home game against Penzance in the League Cup at the weekend.

The kit was presented by Justin Rowse of sponsor Richfords who operate a fire and flood restoration business based in Pool, Redruth. As restoration specialists they have 30 years’ experience restoring water damage, burst pipes, flooding, fire damage, smoke damage, odour remediation and mould contamination. Further info can be found on their website www.richfords.com

Unfortunately for Constantine they could not transfer their fantastic new look into a match winning performance. Perhaps the players were so impressed with their new kit they forgot to think about the game as they shipped five first half goals. Steve Semmens (3) and Jowan May (2) on target for the visitors.

A half time gee-up saw the home side come out a different team with a double from Paul Stevens reducing the arrears. Constantine could have scored more goals to make the tie interesting, but Ian Hart was in inspired form in the visitor's goal.
