The Cornish Pirates and their supporters can expect a battle on Sunday when unbeaten Yorkshire Carnegie visit the Mennaye Field for a 2pm kick-off.
Sunday’s game at Penzance is a third versus second in the league contest, with a big crowd expected to witness the encounter.
The visiting side will also likely include their leading points scorer in the division, fly-half Joe Ford – brother of England’s George – who last weekend took his tally to 55 for the season.
The Cornish Pirates line-up shows four changes from the side that started at London Scottish last weekend.
Club captain Chris Morgan returns to partner Brett Beukeboom in the second-row, Marlen Walker slots in at loose-head prop, and Dan Lee is named at Number 8.
In the backs, fly-half Laurence May will make his first Championship start of the season, whilst replacement Edd Pascoe could make his league debut.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s game, Cornish Pirates co-Coach Alan Paver said: “The squad have prepped well and the guys are determined, ready to face a strong side that has got plenty of experience and have good coaches.
“What the score will be, who knows, but supporters can expect a bit of a battle, which should make for good viewing, and the best team will win on the day.”
