PORTHLEVEN boss Kev Richards is hoping to secure the services of striker Dan Hindmarch this week.

The naval man, who plays for the Fishermen when his first club RNAS Culdrose are without a game, is coveted by Richards, who watched his vastly-improved side beat champions Mousehole last Wednesday.

"It would be a massive boost for us if Dan decides to play full time. He really adds something to our team, he's capable of doing unbelievable things with the ball and he's tireless and aggressive without it. He is going to make a decision whether to stay with Culdrose or join us this week."

Hindmarch had two assists including a tremendous piece of skill to set up Jack Webber's winner in their 3-2 win over the Seagulls last week.

"Our performance was outstanding in that match and Wayne Quinn and James Vercesi both told me afterwards that the best team won," added Richards, whose team has risen to fifth in the table.

Full back Max Roberts, who also played for Culdrose last season, made his debut for Port in their 1-1 draw with Holsworthy on Saturday.

The 17 year-old joins an already youthful squad with which Richards says he is "absolutely delighted".

This Saturday they travel to league newcomers Plymouth Marjons, who have won just two of their opening 11 matches.

Fraser Patterson (wedding) is unavailable, while Charlie Young (knee) and Matt Best (ankle) are injury doubts for the trip to Devon.
