Wendron u21s 0, Penryn u21s 7

PENRYN ran riot in the first group game of the Peninsula League's under-21 Cup at Underlane on Monday evening.

The rearranged fixture, which is one month behind schedule due to the wettest ever winter, was dominated by the visitors from the start.

Toby Clarke hit a tremendous volley after four minutes which flew past home keeper Jack Wray, before Max Moralee shot home their second goal. Reggie May converted a corner to give Penryn a 3-0 half time lead.

Ross Symonds opened the second half with his team's fourth goal, followed by efforts from Fraser Harris and substitute Lewis Pellow.

There was still time for Clarke to claim his second and complete the rout, setting up a winner-takes-all group game against Helston next month, with a place in the semi-finals up for grabs.
