IAN Davies said he has a selection headache to deal with ahead of Cornish Pirates' clash with Ealing on Saturday.

His side put in a valiant fightback against Rotherham on Sunday at the Mennaye but fell just short of snatching a victory, losing 26-24.

At one stage, the Pirates were 20 points with 25 minutes left, but their substitutes made a positive impact with three tries pushing the Titans all the way.

Davies said he was delighted with how the replacements did and it means they will have a few tough decisions to make ahead of their next game.

The director of rugby said: "The pleasing thing was the impact of the guys from the bench and now we will have to have a real look at who starts against Ealing.

"I thought Will Cargill showed a lot of composure, Mike Pope did very well and John Stevens gave us some good stuff going forwards.

"Hopefully we'll have some of the injured guys back for Saturday, but we also want the others to be pushing for starting places and that is what we saw on Sunday."
