A TRIO of Cornish Pirates players have been included in Canada's starting XV who will take on Ireland at the Rugby World Cup on Saturday.

Matt Evans, Aaron Carpenter and Brett Beukeboom were named in the side by head coach Kieran Crowley for the clash at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

They will come up against a very strong Irish squad as the defending Six Nations champions include Paul O'Connell, Jonathan Sexton and Rob Kearney in their XV.
