JOSH Matavesi has been included on the replacements bench in Fiji's squad to face England in Friday's Rugby World Cup opening game.

The utility back who grew up in Camborne was announced this morning as part of the 23-man side who take on the tournament's hosts at Twickenham with the highly anticipated clash kicking off at 8pm.

After naming the team, head coach John McKee said: "“I am very pleased to be able to announce a very strong line-up for the opening match of the Rugby World Cup 2015.

"We have come through a very good preparation phase and are ready to move into the competition."

Matavesi will not have the chance to come up against fellow Cornishman Jack Nowell as the 22-year-old has not been included in the England line-up.
