A FINE day in front of goal for Tom Cleveland saw Wendron United fall to a 5-2 defeat at home to Liskeard Athletic on Saturday.
The visiting striker found the back of the net four times in the South West Peninsula League West clash at Underlane and he opened the scoring after 12 minutes.
However, at this stage of the game Dron were well in the game and equalised as Justin Searle got on the rebound from Ryan Tresidder's saved shot.
Athletic started to control the flow of the game though and Cleveland headed them back ahead before completing his hat-trick minutes later.
He added a fourth in the second half before Sam Gilbert completed the scoring for the visitors.
Consolation was provided to Dron through Tresidder as he got on the scoresheet.
Next up for Dron is a trip to Millbrook on Saturday.
