ST Gluvias finished their 2015 Mining Division Evening League campaign with a second win in the competition on Tuesday.

They welcomed Wendron to Kernick Road for the final group stage game and after being put into bat, made 121-8 off their 20 overs.

Last year when the two sides met, Sam Kruse got a hat-trick with his bowling as Dron were blown away for 29 all out.

But this time round he impressed with his bat top scoring with 31 for the hosts.

Mark Bannister also provided valuable runs as he chalked up 28 batting at number seven as Thomas Burley picked up three wickets for eight runs.

A bad start was made by Dron in their response as Colin Keskeys and Oliver Childs were both bowled with just three runs on the board.

Ryan Mitchell was the main threat with the bat for the visitors, having pummelled 104 in the reverse fixture and again proved to be the key man for Dron's batting card with a innings of 64.

However, despite his work, Mitchell's colleagues could not stick around with captain George Wurr being the second highest scorer, apart from extras, with eight runs.

Dron's innings contained four ducks and they were all out for 96 with nine balls to go, giving the Saints a 25 run victory.

In the same group, Stithians ended their Evening League season with a four wicket win at Mawnan.

Neil Bennett-Hughes top scored with 45 not out for the home team as they reached a total of 118 and it took Stithians their full allotment of overs to reach the target.

They did so off the last ball as, still needing three to win, Malcolm Burley hit a four in a thrilling finale to put the away side on 120-6.

Perranarworthal defeated Perranporth by 137 runs in Group C as they scored 200-3 after winning the toss and electing to bat.

A trio of half centuries saw them to this total from Peter Child, 60, Ben Toulson, 54 not out, and Scott Martin, 50.

Only Connor Tumbridge reached double figures in Perranporth's innings as he scored 15 out of the 63 runs for the visitors.
