FALMOUTH have been paired with higher league opposition in the first round of the Cornwall Cup.
The draw was made yesterday for the 2015/16 edition of the competition and the Eagles, who play in the Cornwall/Devon division, will host Western Counties West club Wadebridge Camels on October 3.
Should they cause an upset and progress to the quarter finals, to be played on October 17, Falmouth would then face either Bodmin or Saltash.
Penryn have also been drawn at home and will play the Pirates Amateurs at the Memorial Ground with an encounter with St Austell, who along with Camborne and Hayle have byes from the first round, the reward for victory.
The Cherry & Whites, who won the cup last season for the third year in a row, will take on either Truro or Bude in the quarter finals.
Newquay Hornets are at home to St Ives in the final first round tie with the final due to be contested on May 2.
Dates for the Cornwall Clubs Cup have also been confirmed for next season with the group games starting on October 24 and the finishing on February 13.
Quarter final ties will be played a week later with the final to take place over Easter weekend.
Just like last year, Helston, Lanner and Stithians will meet in Group B while Camborne School of Mines are in D with Illogan Park, St Just and Redruth Albany.
Defending champions Veor will face St Agnes and Perranporth in C.
Cornish rugby bosses have also made the first round draw for the National Junior Vase qualifying competition.
Helston have been paired at home to Liskeard Looe, with the match taking place on September 5, while Stithians received a bye and will face either Roseland or Redruth Albany in the quarter finals.
