HELSTON Cricket Club's second team have been reinstated to the Andrew Cup after Gulval fielded three ineligible players in their second round tie.
When the sides met on June 4 at Beacon Parc, the visitors second team completed a close five run victory to make it to the quarter final stage of the Twenty20 competition.
However, an appeal was made over the result after it was discovered a trio of players, Tom Curnow, Brandon Knight and Jacob Kitchen, had played three consecutive games for their first team in Division Two West.
This breaches rule one of the cup and bosses at Cornwall Cricket took the decision to eliminate Gulval from the competition.
A home clash against St Gluvias seconds now awaits Helston in the last eight on June 25.
