A DOMINANT display of rugby was shown by Penryn’s Under 13s as they beat Newquay 55-5.
Their whole squad put in a brilliant shift with the pack rampaging their opponents while the backs ran well with the ball.
By half-time the score had reached 22-0 with tries coming from Dan Price, Jack Truen, Sam Price and Will Pyatt putting Borough well ahead.
Newquay had started well as they tried to counter attack early on, but came up against a stiff Penryn defence who were tackling excellently.
Penryn’s first try scorer added a second in the first play of the second half before Newquay attempted another fight back with their pack trying to barge over.
However, Penryn were up for the challenge and were able to hold them off.
The visitors did manage to get a try in the end, but within minutes of scoring this Sam Aherne went over for Borough before Sam Price added the second of his three.
Charlie Levick managed to get on the scoreboard before Price completed his hat-trick as Penryn’s tackling, rucking and driving mauls outwitted Newquay.
