A NEW season has brought a new look to the Helston Hellcats as the club’s Under 18s and 15s teams have merged with Newquay and Tavistock.
Under the moniker Newstock Hellcats, the sides travelled to Devonport to face the Devonport Services/Newton Abbott and both returned victorious.
The under 18s ran out 27-5 winners while their colleagues in the under 15s completed a 24-14 win, much to the delight of their coaches Larry Osman and Jos Bond.
Osman said: “The girls did themselves proud and they were brilliant debuts in the under 18’s by two of the Helston girls.
“It was a very enjoyable day of rugby.”
Bond added: “Our under 15s had a very physical game but proved they were up to the challenge and we were proud to be there supporting the girls.”
