PENRYN’S Under 11 squad got their season started on Sunday as they hosted Perranporth.

The sides played a game consisting of four ten minute long sessions to give every player a go.

Plenty of tries were scored during the match and among them were touch downs for Aron Williams, who took on the Perranporth forwards several times, while Thomas Freeman grabbed a brace.

There was also an impressive try scored by Ethan Weaver who ran three quarters the length of the field to go over.

Benji Roberts also had a good match and this was topped off with a try to his name.

Also showing great promise were Sam Laval and Jack Dunstan who both made darting runs and excellent tackles, while Tommy Tetley made an impressive debut and got five points to boot.
