Stithians 199 Wadebridge 195-9
Having narrowly lost a close game last week Stithians got the right side of a close encounter at Wadebridge.

In a game that could have gone wither way in the last over they held their nerve to get a welcome four run success.

They are now 15 points above the relegation zone.

Hugh Williams made 21 Nathan Strick made 37 but Stithians were in a little trouble at 103-5 after 30 overs. Andrew Lean (24), John Millership (26) and Ben Tann (24) led the fightback. Rob Centini took 4-30 and Charlie Ellis 2-42.

James Turpin made 67 but from 74-1, and 144-4, Wadebridge declined to 171-8. Centini made 16 not out but with seven needed off the last five balls last man Ed Marquis couldn't connect to the visitor’s delight. Glyn Furnival (2-27) and Colin Weeks (2-45) led the attack. In form Hayle are the visitors on Saturday.

Gorran 341-6 Perranarworthal 216-5
Perranarworthal conceded well over three hundred in the hot conditions at Gorran.

During the week Perran skipper Carl Murphy completed a transfer to Ladock. After Dan Semple (20) and Joe Semple (34) put on 57 the rest of the Gorran batsmen prospered.

Robin Kendall hit five sixes in his 87 and Andrew Grant twelve boundaries in his 80 not out. He put on 82 for the sixth wicket with Kevin Harris who made 61.

David Angell was the only one of the seven Perran bowlers to take two wickets.

To their credit Perran responded well with the bat with Andrew Brotherton (38), Angell (74) and Malcolm Thomas (45) getting them to 172 before the second wicket fell.

Gorran used eight bowlers with Andrew Grant and Joe Semple taking two wickets each. There is a crucial game at Tredrea on Saturday with fellow strugglers Penzance the visitors.

St Gluvias 208-6 Rosudgeon 193-9

St Gluvias recorded a narrow win over Rosudgeon at Kernick to move into third spot above their opponents. Jon Nesbitt (29) and Jake Preston (45) got things off to a good start.

Scott Kellow fell for two but Shaun Semmens made 38 before Kyle Winnan saw the 200 up with 66 not out.

Rosudgeon were going well through David Gray and Mark Waters before the innings fell away.
Jake Preston turned the game with four for 41. Crofty Homan visit on Saturday.
