Somerset Rebels agree League Cup dates with Ipswich Somerset Rebels agree League Cup dates with Ipswich

SOMERSET Rebels have agreed dates with Ipswich for the respective home legs of the League Cup Final and Scunthorpe in respect of the Championship Grand Final should the Scorpions clinch top spot in their particular Play-Off Group, in order for Workington to pip Scunthorpe it will require the Comets to win at Edinburgh in the final group match on Friday night.

Somerset will, therefore, stage the home leg of their League Cup Final against Ipswich this Friday, October 19, with the 2nd leg at Ipswich on Thursday, October 25, while the Rebels home leg of the Championship Grand Final against Scunthorpe will be staged at the Oaktree Arena on Friday, October 26, with the 2nd leg at Scunthorpe being staged on Sunday, October 28, this assuming that the Scorpions are confirmed as Somerset’s opponents in the Final.

With Jason Doyle ruled out of the Somerset side due to the neck injury he sustained at yesterday’s Premier League Riders’ Championship, the Rebels have booked Plymouth’s Ryan Fisher as a guest replacement for this Friday’s match against Ipswich.
