Kevin Milsom makes changes ahead of Bideford cup clash
KEVIN Milsom slammed his team's performance after they lost 3-1 at Abingdon United and warned that changes will be made ahead of tonight's cup clash with Bideford.
Bridgwater went 2-0 down and managed to claw their way back briefly through Phil Veal's goal but eventually lost out in what Milsom had targeted as a three-pointer to leave them 19th in the league.
He said: “We have definitely been brought back down to earth with a bump this week.
“We thought it was going to be easier than it was and if you are not prepared to work hard on the ball and even harder when you don't have the ball then you are not going to win the game.”
Milsom revealed that after the disappointing performance that changes will the made ahead of tonight's clash which will also see the return of former manager Rob Dray who is Bideford's assistant manager.
Milsom said: “There will be changes and players that have been patient this season will get the opportunity to come in and show us what they can do.
“Bideford are struggling in their league so they will want to prove a few things and Rob [Dray] will also want to prove a few things too.
“But we are in it to win it and we hope that the night focuses on the football rather than making it personal.”
Dray was sacked with six games left last season and said that he is looking forward to being back at the club.
He added: “I still have a lot of friends around the club and was there for 20 years so it will be a different experience.
“We are bringing a strong team and both clubs are quite aware what each other are bringing to this match so it should be good.”
Kick-off is 3pm at Fairfax Park.
