Bridgwater Men's 1st 3, ECV Hornets A 0
AFTER last week's disappointing defeat, Bridgwater bounced back to victory with a 3-0 win over ECV Hornets.
Within five minutes, Bridgwater were down to ten men, after a late challenge brought a yellow card, but they settled and created good wide play from Ben Sims and debutant John Morley which saw Tom Lott go close twice.
Despite a goalless first half, Bridgwater were straight into goalmouth action in the second half as a move by Carwyn Jenkins, Chris Dart and Ash Woolmington set up Lott for his first goal of the season.
Man of the match Lott doubled his and the team's advantage from a penalty corner after good work from Blackmore and the third came from Morley as Lott's initial shot deflected off the ECV keeper to give him a tap in.
Next week Bridgwater travel to Exeter to play Ashmoor.

Ashmoor A 2, Bridgwater Mens 2nd 7
THE home side started the brighter of the two teams but Bridgwater opened the scoring from a penalty corner that Tim Bennett took, Payne stopped and Phil Morrish passed to Tim Sullivan to slot home.
That soon became 2-0 when Payne's trademark reverse shot found the bottom corner and 3-0 when Payne struck a long reverse shot at the top of the 'D' after a fast break from Aaron Turner.
They went 4-0 up when a great passing move involving Wilson, Sullivan and Turner found Duncan Bond who roofed the ball into the top of the net for a debut goal.
Bond hit his second to make it 5-0 and despite Ashmoor grabbing a goal back, Payne made it 6-1 and then 7-1 to round off a man of the man performance.
Sedgemoor Division 1
Bridgwater Ladies 2nd 3, ECV Hornets 2nd 1
A SLOW first half and with Bridgwater lacking confidence saw ECVH take a 1-0 lead even thought they only had nine players.
But the second half saw Bridgwater Ladies rally and Becky and debutant Nicky Gill drove at the defenders forcing a corner that was put in by Sue Chaplin.
Chaplin, Kathryn Dickinson and Jo Bromme worked efficiently and player of the match Paige Martin provided the width for the team.
Becky's determination and constant running forced the play in Bridgwater's favour with Nicky G and Lucy B capitalising to make the final score 3-1 in Bridgwater's favour.

Bridgwater Men 4th 5, Bridgwater Men 5th 0
THE fourth team found the net within 30 seconds as James Facey poked the ball home to set the tone in this one-sided battle.
Stevens, Foxwell, Durking and Laing helped bolster a midfield to ensure not much would get through, and even created the odd chance for Jack Syvret, Max Syvret, Facey and Steve Pigden.
Some quick thinking from Steve Morrish created a goal for Laing who made it 2-0 at half time.
In the second half, Facey scored his second and with Pigden skilfully slotting a deflection in from a Laing cross. Foxwell also played well in the central midfield to help create another goal for Max Syvret.

Bridgwater Mens 3rd 4 v 2 Okehampton A
BRIDGWATER played their first home game of the season against Okehampton and started the better of the two teams going 2-0 ahead within the first ten minutes with goals from Davidge and Max Syvret. Okehampton managed to pull a goal back before the half time interval.
In the second half, Bridgwater scored another goal through Mike Eele with Okehampton scoring again to make the score 3-2. Bridgwater then sealed the game with another goal with Will Pope deflecting the ball on the line.
Next week, Bridgwater Mens 3rd team travels to play Taunton Civil Service.
