RUGBY: Welcome win for Taunton Titans
TAUNTON Titans made a welcome return to winning ways with a 33-22 success at Southend in National Two (South) yesterday.
Titans were desperate for a win following defeats by Shelford and Henley Hawks and rose to the occasion despite the long journey.
The result was in doubt until the closing stages but Titans nailed the win and a bonus point with a fourth try scored by Will Carrick-Smith converted by Tony Yapp.
Other tries came from Jemba Bull, Mike Pope and Dean Taylor-Menzies while Yapp added another conversion and Brett Turner slotted over three penalties.
