Bishops Sutton Res 3, Burnham United 5
UNITED got back to winning ways on Saturday when they beat Bishops Sutton Reserves 5-3 on their travels.
After an even first 15 minutes, Matt Scott broke the deadlock as he reacted first to the loose ball following a goal mouth melee to poke the ball in.
Scott doubled both his and the team's tally moment later when he produced a superb shot round the keeper and into the top corner of the net to make up the only scoring of the first half.
The home side had not even touched the ball before Burnham made it 3-0 thanks to Billy Peake, who had been brought on to replace Dave Keirle after he was punched, the opponents player seeing a straight red card.
Bishops Sutton pulled two goals back but Ed Lamb restored Burnham's advantage with around 20 minutes to go.
And the game was wrapped up through Steve Leaf after he cut inside from the left and unleashed an unstoppable shot into the corner past the sprawling home keeper.
The team have no game this weekend as they have received a bye into the next round of the Somerset Senior Cup.
