Weston and District League round-up
BURNHAM United ‘A’ crashed out of the Atwell Shield at the weekend after they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Westend.
There was better news though for Wedmore who held their nerve to beat Pill United in extra-time 8-5.
Back to Weston and District League action and Division One outfit Berrow Reserves dropped into mid-table after their 3-1 defeat to fellow recently-promoted side Churchill Club 70 Reserves, Shaun Lismore grabbing the consolation goal.
In Division Four, King Alfred Sports Centre beat Worle Reserves 3-2 for their first league win of the season. They take on Nailsea United Colts at home this weekend.
Burnham United ‘B’ were outplayed in their home match to K.V.F.C as they suffered a 4-0 defeat ahead of their clash at Axbridge Town Reserves on Saturday.
Wedmore Reserves had no game last weekend but are back to league action on Saturday when they face Worle Rangers Reserves.
