SUNDAY morning saw Burnham’s under 14's take to the field in their first and eagerly anticipated game of the season.

The first half saw the team defend strongly with some very strong tackling by debutant Jack Vincent who acquitted himself very well in his first game for the young stags.

Along with Josh French and the twins sam and simon, holes were being smashed in the oppositions defence and with the Burnham forwards matching their opponents upfront they finished the half 10-14 in favour of the visitors. The second half saw some great rugby from both sides and as Burnham surged forward through some great carries by George Prewett and Finley Ingham, Burnham were rewarded with their third try of the match 15-14.

With the game moving on Bridgwater had the final say and scored their third try to take the score to 15-19.

Any lads wanting to come and play training is on a Friday night at the BASC Ground and starts at 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start.
