RUGBY: Titans join forces with Taunton School
Taunton School have joined TRFC in an ambitious project to promote and develop youth rugby at the club and in the wider community.
Headmaster Dr John Newton said: “I am proud that Taunton School is associated with Taunton Rugby Club. We both believe strongly in harnessing the skills of young people. I look forward to seeing a real impact on our community.”
Taunton Youth Chairman John Wrelton said: “This is an exciting opportunity to have a positive impact with our local youngsters on and off the field of play.
“We welcome Taunton School into our club and thank them for their generous support.”
The alliance is especially rewarding for ‘Old Tauntonian’ and senior statesman of Somerset Rugby, Jack Matthews who initiated the partnership.
