MALTSHOVEL are the early pace-setters in Division 1 of the Uxella Bridgwater Sunday League following their 3-1 win over Blake Old Boys.

Two goals apiece for Steve Robins and Adam Lock helped Highburn to a 5-0 win over New Foresters, with Rob Driver getting the fifth.

A goalfest at Red Tile saw them claim a 7-5 win over Pawlett Rebels. Damon Jennings, Luke Morgan, Jack Taylor, Sam Godfrey, Scott Capel, Jake Collard and Olly Smith scored for Tile and a Simon Coombes brace and Darryl Taylor hat-trick, including a lob from the halfway line, made up the scoring for Pawlett.

In Division 2, the top six teams are all tied on six points. Puriton lead on goal difference after their 1-0 win over ROF thanks to a Josh Champion goal.

Four goals for Ian Bellinger saw Tiger Old Boys Reserves claim three points in a 5-2 win over Huntspill. Jamie Chillingworth added the fifth.

Flag Old Boys won 6-2 at Knowle despite consolation goals for Pete Boot and Scott Woodberry.
