Matt Angel try gives North Petherton bragging rights over Bridgwater & Albion

Several-hundred fans turned out and it was the Albion ones who were the more vocal as their team dominated the first half to storm to a 12-3 half-time lead.
Chris Webber opened the scoring after breaking through a couple of tacklers to score under the posts in the eighth minute. Matt House made sure of the extras.
Petherton did respond and, on the quarter-hour mark, Carl Brown stole a lineout and gained 10 yards; from the resulting breakdown, Albion illegally slowed the ball down and Petherton were awarded a penalty.
The ever-reliable Harry Roberts once again held his nerve to slot over the penalty from 40 yards to close the gap to 7-3.
Albion continued to take a hold on the game, particularly from lineouts with either a drive off a Dan Kemmish take or rolling a player around and hitting in midfield meaning the Petherton back three had to work overtime as the home team stretched and moved the Pethy players all around the pitch.
And that hard work was rewarded just before half-time as Rob Allen danced through a couple of tacklers to score an excellent individual try and give Albion a 12-3 lead.
The second half saw Petherton come into the game and, in the 50th minute, a kick to the corner from a penalty saw Gavin Hancock come off the wing from a lineout to cause havoc and supply the scoring pass for Roberts to dart over while celebrating. Roberts also converted to draw the scores to 12-10.
The game became disjointed as neither team could break down the other but, with minutes left, a poor clearance kick was pounced on by Pethy skipper James Carter who drove himself to within five yards of the try line.
The resulting play saw a neat offload to man-of-the-match and birthday boy Angel who bounced off two tacklers to score, which Roberts converted, to give Petherton a 17-12 lead they never relinquished.
